He worked as a photographer for Amoco Productions until his retirement. He is survived by: his wife, Iris of the home; a sister-in-law, Connie Ikard of Houston, TX; 3 nieces, 2 nephews and many friends. Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2008, at Community Christian Church in Tulsa. CONDOLENCES - I received word today (March 20, 2006) that Bill Ikerd passed away earlier today. Bill's funeral will be held Friday, March 24, at 1:30 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Emporia, KS. The visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 at Roberts Blue Barnett Funeral Home. Bill was very interested in our family and had done a lot of research. He willingly shared his information with me and also answered many questions that I had. I was fortunate to get to visit with Bill on the telephone last summer. What a wonderful man, who dearly loved his family! I will miss him very much. Family Member Searching for Descendants for Health Information - In the 1850 Catawba County, Newton Census was Jesse Petiller/Petillo/Patillo age 25 a wife Melinda I believe age 17. I am searching for any living family memeber off this line, His father was James Petillo from Lincoln Co., Jesse was the son of James and Margaret Ikerd born out of wedlock. It is very important for me to find a member of this Petillo line. The father James, moved back to Tenn and died in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jesse was born about 1825 time frame in Lincoln co. N.C. I do not know where he ended up living after the 1850 census. He was in Catawba County at that time. I am searching for anyone off this line for DNA purposes. I am willing to pay for a 12 marker DNA on any Petillo line from Lincoln or Catawba County, N.C. A rare gene has been found in another member who is a half brother to Jesse, It is extremely important to see if these two lines carry this gene. Thanks. Please E-mail us for additional information.
