2007 Ikard-Ikerd Family Reunion
The 2007 Ikard/Ikerd family reunion was held Father's Day weekend, Thursday-Sunday, June 14-17, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in honor of Oklahoma's centennial! Approximately 50 people attended over the course of the weekend. Our events began with a wonderful dinner
at Cattlemen's Steakhouse. Lots of "good visiting" took place that evening! The next day, we toured the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum and had lunch at the museum's Dining on Persimmon Hill.
That evening, we all met in the Shenandoah room at the hotel and shared stories of Fred Oklahoma Ikard, who would have turned 100 years old this year. Again, lots of "good visiting" took place throughout the evening. Saturday's events included a trip to Bricktown
and also the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.
We had an evening meal together at the hotel (Saturday evening) and celebrated the 50th Wedding anniversary of Jesse and Gayle Ikard. We also had the opportunity to hear Jesse play the piano for us during the evening.
Once again, lots of "great visiting" took place.
Plan now to attend the 2008 get-together, to be held in Idaho Falls, ID. Gerald Ikard is in charge of the arrangements. Please check back for updated information.
